Discovery Internships Scholarship Information

Students

Discovery Internships is an investment in your future similar to other educational investments such as college tuition, tutoring, or academic enrichment programs. We can appreciate that tuition for a 4-week summer program can be a financial challenge for some families. We do not currently offer a defined financial aid program. Regrettably, we do not have the necessary personnel to properly assess student financial need and administer scholarship funds. However, we work with a number of non-profits, such as the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, Summer Search, and the Turn 2 Foundation to fulfill our philanthropic objectives by offering full and partial scholarships to eligible students participating in Discovery Internships through one of these organizations. Typically our non-profit partners begin working with outstanding students of financial need early in their academic careers. Our parent company, Dream Careers, also operates two non-profits, Dream Volunteers and the Young Dreamer Network, as part of our mission to inspire and equip young people from communities across the globe to discover and pursue their dreams.

If you are a current high school student or parent looking for financial assistance, we suggest that you check with local community organizations or search the internet for scholarship opportunities; some institutions do offer financial support for students to pursue programs such as Discovery Internships. FastWeb is a great place to start your search. Past Discovery Internships students have been able to cover the cost of tuition by raising funds in small increments from multiple sources, applying early to take advantage of one of our early enrollment discounts, or enrolling in one of our lower-priced programs such as Discovery Internships Chicago or, if local to one of our host cities, a commuter program.

If you are local to New York City, we recommend that you look into the excellent non-profit internship program Future and Options. More information is available here: www.futuresandoptions.org
